Book a route, pick the day and your start time, and your activation code arrives by email. Open the free TerraHunt app for iPhone or Android, enter the code at your start time and follow the GPS map from treasure to treasure, with a puzzle at each one.

TerraHunt is a self-guided GPS treasure hunt platform that lets teams explore cities while solving puzzles and competing for the best time.

Treasures are GPS checkpoints along the route. When your team reaches one, the app opens a puzzle or a challenge. There's nothing physical to find, carry or bring back. Photo Hunt Rome works differently: there are no puzzles, and at each landmark you take one team photo.

Anywhere you like. A treasure hunt has no fixed start or finish: the app shows every treasure on the map, and your team collects them in any order. Rome's photo hunt suggests a natural route from the Colosseum to Santa Maria Maggiore, but you can visit its landmarks in any order too.

Each route passes its own landmarks. Every hunt page lists them under What You'll See on the Way, and each city page compares its routes side by side.

Pick a city and a route, choose the day, the start time, the number of teams and the language, then pay by card. The payment is charged right away.

Within minutes of payment. First comes a confirmation email with your invoice, then an instructions email with your code, QR code and a video tutorial.

By email: one activation code and one QR code for your whole booking. Every team enters the same code in the app.

At least 1 hour before your start time. For a start later today you need at least 1 hour's notice, and start times come every 30 minutes.

Yes. You can pick any future date.

No. The day and start time you pick are final, and changes aren't possible after purchase. Your game starts exactly at that time.

Your code arrives within minutes of payment. Nothing after 30 minutes? Check your spam folder, then email us at info@z-agency.cz with your order number and we'll send your code to you personally. You're covered either way: if the code doesn't reach you before your start time, you get a full refund.

Your game runs in the time window you booked. It can't start earlier or later, so if you arrive late, you have less time to play.

As many as you book. One code and one QR code cover your whole group, and every team joins with the same code. Choose the number of teams when you book, 2 to 5 players each. The code lets in exactly the number of teams you paid for.

Log in to the TerraHunt app on another phone with the same account. Everything the first phone already sent to the server loads there, and the first phone drops out of the game.

Not on one account. Two phones logged in to the same account fight over the same game: they take each other's treasures and keep disconnecting each other. Play on one phone at a time, and switch only if the first one runs out of battery.

Partly. Tap Offline in the app and the whole game downloads to your phone. If the mobile signal drops, you keep playing, and your results sync to the server once you're back online. Do it over Wi-Fi before you start.

A game is about 50 MB on average. Download it over Wi-Fi with the Offline button, and during the hunt the app uses mobile data only to sync your points and photos.

A smartphone with GPS and mobile data (or Wi-Fi), running iOS 14 or Android 14 or newer. One person enters the code, and the whole team navigates together.

Every hunt page shows a recommended time, from 1 to 3.5 hours depending on the route. When you book, you pick a time limit of 2, 3 or 4 hours. Pick 2 if you walk fast, or 4 to take it slowly.

Yes, take a break whenever you like, but the clock keeps running. Your game has a fixed end time, set by the time limit you picked when booking.

Hunts run rain or shine, so check the forecast before you pick your time.

Languages vary by city and route, and every hunt page lists them. Today all routes are in English.

The app records your start, each checkpoint, your puzzle solutions and your finish. Speed and accuracy both count, and your result is final when you finish.

Yes. The app has a live leaderboard for your game: every team playing on your code sees how it ranks against the others, whether that's 2 teams or 24. Teams from other bookings don't appear. Scores sync over the internet, so keep mobile data on during the game.

Yes. Each booking is a new game, so you can book the same route again.
